As coatings industry evolves dramatic developments seen in pigments, solvents

To mark the occasion of its golden jubilee, The Colour Society organised a seminar on 'The Colour of the CoatingIndustry in the Now Economy,' on November 30~(th), 2001 at the Nehru Centre Auditorium in Mumbai. An international exhibition — The Asia Coat & Ink Show — was also organised on the occasion, in associationwith the All India Printing Ink Manufacturers Association. The Colour Society is an ensemble of academics, scientists, industries, corporates, SSI and medium-sized units, consultants and students. Operating under the Public Trust Act it is a non-profit making registered body and its main objective is to disseminate and diffuse knowledge to personnel in the coating industry, by conducting seminars, workshops and lectures. The So-ciety, with strong links to the UDCT, has a strong, loyal membership of more than 800, consisting of chemists, technologists, sales & marketing executives, engineers, etc. Recently, a Pune Centre was launched, which is progressing satisfactorily, and a web site has also been created this year.
