Field experiments were conducted in Poland, from 2003 to 2005, to determine the influence of effective microorganisms (EM) on the number of fungal cultures isolated from infected tissues of pea. Mycological analysis showed that the plant surfaces were colonized by plant pathogenic fungi, such as Fusarium oxysporum, Rhizoctonia solani, Phoma medicaginis var. pinodella, Mycosphaerella pinodes and Botrytis cinerea. Plant pathogenic fungi occurred in the fewest numbers in the plants where the soil was treated with EM in addition to chemical control, amounting to 64.29% of the isolates per treatment.
