An application of the pheromone traps to monitoring of codling moth and leaf roller populations in the orchards

During 2000-05, codling moth and leaf rollers in 2 experimental apple orchards in central Poland were monitored using pheromone traps. The number of codling moths followed an increasing pattern. The highest number of leaf rollers was recorded in 2002. During this season, the total number of Adoxophyes reticulana [A. orana] was much higher than that in previous years. The population of Pandemis heparana, the main species found in orchards, was high during the summer (September) of 2002. Pandemis heparana produced only one generation..
