In order to cater for all combinations of delivery rate and head in cooling water pumps, a complete programme of impeller designs is needed, each with their specific speed. Still, this is not enough to cover all potential applications. With the aid of angle-adjustable impeller blades it is possible to compensate for any uncertainties in the system design. The angle of the impeller blades is adjusted to the optimum setting manually before installation and start-up to suit actual conditions. In this way, the efficiency can be optimized or the duty point changed after the design has been finalized.
