The adjustable coolant pump has impeller (1) which protrudes into suction chamber blades (12) and is rotatably mounted about rotational axis and is connected with a lid (3) and a driven hollow shaft (4). A push rod (9) is axially displaceably guided in the hollow shaft. A guide (2) connected to the push rod is arranged between the lid part and the impeller and is axially displaceable by control of the coolant volume flow. The blades are curved in three dimensions and the guide is rotatable about the rotation axis in relative to the impeller.
