Monsanto, DuPont license Bt corn

DuPont subsidiary Pioneer Hi-Bred will license Monsanto's genetically modified (GM) Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) corn, the first rootworm resistant corn. EPA cleared the way for Bt corn use last month (CW, March 5, p.12).DuPont will pay royalties and other fees to Monsanto. Terms were not disclosed.
