Wacker Specialties ad Julich Fine Chemcials (Julich,Germany)say they have agreed to collaborate in the development of chiral chemicals using biotechnology.The deal is centered around the conversion of biocatalytic ketones to chiral alcohols,which are key building blocks for the synthesis of certain pharma intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs),the companies say.
