Survivex enrols record number of delegates for new CA-EBS training.

Survivex launched the new OPITO approved CA-EBS training course in July 2014, and has since trained more than 20,000 of the UK offshore workforce to date. Its largest contract for delivery of the new course was awarded by one of the industry's major operators, who have enrolled over 5000 offshore personnel. The new CAT A CA-EBS equipment and training is a mandatory requirement as of the 1st September 2014 for personnel travelling offshore by Helicopter to the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS). It was introduced following the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) report (CAP1145) which reviewed offshore safety, in response to the fatal helicopter crash in August 2013, and made recommendations on Emergency Breathing Systems.
