When Graham Thomas, Managing Director of Halifax, UK, based Broadbent Stanley Ltd, was in Romania last year finalising the sale of one of his company's large capacity oil country lathes, he noted a somewhat tired looking Tacchi CNC lathe tucked away at the end of his customer's machine shop. He asked to look at it, noting that, although it had seen better days, the slides looked OK and it was ripe for refurbishment. A deal was struck, the order placed for the new Broadbent Stanley and Graham departed for the UK - the proud owner of a 80" (2 metre) Tacchi oil country lathe.
