Nautronix Secures Contract for Digital Acoustic Upgrades for Songa Drilling's Venus and Mercur Semi-Submersible Drilling Rigs from the Far East

Nautronix has been awarded orders to supply upgrades to NASDrill USBL Transponder digital acoustic positioning systems for two of Songa Drilling's semi-submersible drilling rigs, the Songa Venus and Songa Mercur, both currently operating in Malaysia. The systems are due for delivery in June and August, 2012, respectively. Both rigs have been operating with Nautronix analogue RS912 USBL systems since the early nineties but have seen the substantial performance and acoustic reliability improvements that Nautronix ADS2 Digital Acoustics will deliver from the NASDrill USBL system in operation on the Songa Dee drilling rig.
