PURPOSE: A semi-submersible drilling rig is provided to prevent damage to a hull or drilling equipment due to floating ice.;CONSTITUTION: A semi-submersible drilling rig comprises multiple column parts(110), a connection deck(120), pontoons(130), and multiple penetration parts(140). The column parts are erected on the surface of seawater. The connection deck is installed above the column parts so that the column parts can be connected to each other. The pontoons are installed under the column parts in order to maintain the balance of the semi-submersible drilling rig. The penetration parts are longitudinally formed inside the column parts and penetrate through the connection deck and the pontoons. Derricks are installed on the connection deck so that the derricks can be positioned above the penetration parts.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
