摘要

Polymers have been widely used as dental restorative materials for nearly half a century. In a typical adhesive system, the adhesive monomers penetrate into the demineralized dentin surface, intermingle with the collagen network, and are photopolymcrized to form a bond between the dentin and composite layer. A hybrid layer forms the interface between the dentin and this adhesive layer. Previous studies have shown that the quality of this layer plays a very important role in the stability and longevity of the bond.' Imperfect infiltration into the collagen matrix and low conversion of the adhesive monomers in the hybrid layer may result in premature failure of dentin-adhesive bond, which is still a concern today. A better understanding of this hybrid layer will greatly improve future dentin-adhesive bond performance.
