摘要

Ionic Liquids (ILs) have recently caught the attention of many scientists due to some of their unique properties such as low volatility, low melting point, wide liquid range, non-flammability, and high solvating power. Apart from their applications in chemical and electrochemical, biochemical synthesis and separations", they have also been studied as plasticizers for poly(methyl methacrylate) where they showed better compatibility and plasticizing efficiency than the traditional plasticizer di(2-ethyl hexyl) phthalate.
