Since its initial discovery by Butler and coworkers,1 the cjdopolymerization of diallyl ammonium salts and related monomers has been the subject of considerable scientific and technological interest.2'6 Most research has been devoted to the investigation of the mechanism of cyclopolymerization, ring size and effects of structure on solution properties.7-3 Hoover and coworkers,10 and Babilis and coworkers,11'12 have reported the formation of vesicle structures from the cyclopolymerization of twin-tailed diallyl ammonium halide derivatives. However, in the latter case, polymerized vesicles were unstable unless spacer comonomers were introduced.
