We have studied the boundaries of the regions of existence of the hypothetical solid solutions (Re_(0.97)Cr_(0.03)Si_(1.89)- Re_(0.78)Cr_(0.22)Si_(2.01), Cr_(0.99)Re_(0.01)Si_2 - Cr_(0.40)Re_(0.60)Si_2) over a broad concentration range at 2-4 mole percent intervals. We have established the characteristic features of the formation of solid solutions in this system during solid-phase reaction between powders of the starting components in the temperature range 600-1300 deg C under vacuum. We have studied some of their physical properties.
