The increasing concerns of global air environment have stimulated the demand for cleaner and cleaner engine fuels.Hydrodesulfurization is a key process used in producing clean engine fuels.In the process,Mo and W sulfide catalysts supported on gamma-Al_2O_3 and promoted by Co and Ni have been applied to the industrial hydrotreatment of petroleum and liquefied coal.
