Leading poultry integrator, 2 Sisters Food Group, is testing each crop of birds post-thin and at depopulation on 130 of its farms as it seeks to get a better understanding of the Campylobacter problem.The idea is to get a clearer picture of how the bacteria becomes established, and how best to combat it, according to group agricultural audit manager Peter King.2 Sisters has also been running a series of workshops for its entire farming supply pool, aimed at reinforcing the importance of biosecurity on farm. Farmers have been encouraged to pay special attention to two or three aspects of biosecurity.
