摘要

This paper deals with performance evaluation of pneumatic conveying of chromite overburden (COB) of size 80% minus 75 urn and fly ash of particle size of 25 urn in a pneumatic conveying system.The maximum throughput of 1.0 tph is achieved at a distance of 6m in a 300 mm N.B pipeline in a suction type pneumatic conveying system,whereas maximum throughput COB and Fly ash of 2.2 tph and 1.6 tph,respectively,are achieved at a distance of 50 m in a 50 mm N.B pipeline at 0.7 barg pressure in a positive pressure pneumatic conveying system,tested in a pneumatic conveying test rig at RRL,Bhubaneswar.The conveying characteristics of COB and fly ash tested in a pneumatic conveying test rig are presented and discussed.
