BEIC chief calls for a big push on new sizes

ANDREW Parker, managing director of Stonegate Farmers and now chairman of the British Egg Industry Council, believes farmers and packers should use the switch to new egg sizes as a focal point for a new advertising drive. He sees the change as a realopportunity for the industry to tell the public at large what the Lion stands for and what the change in sizes is all about. "Officially we have until the end of this year to phase in these changes, but by linking this with Crack an Egg Week (28 October- 3 November) we can launch an all-industry campaign.
