THERMOFORMING Process is in vogue since the fifties,when the commonly used Polymers were HIPS,ABS and PVC and mainly for the Refrigerator Components.The pioneers have been ILLIG,FORMUAC and BROWN MACHINERY of MICH,USA with whom I was associated in 1958 in the development of a 3-station Rotary Thermoforming Machine for the Refrigerator Liners.The Commercial production of the thermoforming Machines started in early sixties by Sheth and Sheth Industries based on Prototype developed by Polychem Ltd.The major production in sixties was Ice-cream Cups/Disposables,Trays,Calenders,Frames,Ad-displays,etc.and Refrigerator and AC components.
