Brazil has imposed anti-dumping duties on imports of polypropylene resins from India South Africa and South Korea. This is in its latest bid to protect monopoly (of local PP manufacturers), which is struggling to compete with imports from lower cost countries. Earlier CAMEX (the Brazilian Chamber of Foreign Trade of the Federal Government), had decided to impose antidumping duties on imports into Brazil of nylon from China, South Korea, Thailand and Taiwan.
