It was mostly quiet on the feedstock front as 2014 got underway, with a few dollars or yuan added or subtracted here and there. Whether it was imports or domestically produced material, the market and its players appeared to be in off-mode already, preparing for the two-week Chinese New Year holidays, which started in the last week of January. The polymer scene was a mixed bag, too, with ABS prices rising, PC and POM stagnant, and PBT and PMMA headed downwards. Whereas the cost of PA 6 rose, PA 6.6 prices treaded water.
