This new technology totally eliminates machining and polishing of mold cavity inserts. Since the most expensive step in the process is the creation of the master mandrel, the more identical cavities, the better the economics. Since replacement shells can be supplied quickly and economically, maintenance costs are drastically reduced. Complex cavity geometry is duplicated with precision. Delivery times can be reduced by about 30% as compared to conventional molds.
