The aerospace market is poised to provide significant business opportunities to companies that specialize in the design and fabrication of performance polymers and composites. OKMs are developing aircraft with diverse requirements in mind, most of which are extensions of exist- ing needs. Chief among these are fuel efficiency, environmental compliance, heightened safety, and economy. As a result, OEMs are paying close attention to materials that will achieve these goals, and in the process creating or expanding markets for specialty plastics and composites.
