Sydney-China's move to ban the production,sale and use of ultra-fine plastic bags from June 1 was not expected to substantially dent its consumption of polyethylene resin,industry sources said January 11.The ban will apply to bags with a thickness below 0.025 mm.These are used locally as grocery bags and low-end shopping carrier bags to carry small loads of fruit,vegetables,meat and lightweight consumer goods.
