London-The Northwest European February butadiene contract was settled January 25 at Eur900/mt FD NWE,a source involved in the deal confirmed.The settlement represented a Eur40/mt drop from January's price.The lower February settlement was a response to softer upstream prices observed earlier in January."The reduction is due to lower naphtha and crude C4 costs and lower export butadiene pricing," the source involved in the initial settlement said.
