Canada seeks investment for Alberta sands oil,petrochemicals projects

Tokyo-Canadian representatives were in Japan in early March to promote investment in the Alberta oil sands project,which includes several petrochemical sub-projects.By 2020,Alberta hopes to produce some 400,000 barrels/day of petrochemicals,including aromatics,olefins and polymers,according to Duke du Plessis,senior advisor with the Alberta Economic Development and the Alberta Energy Research Institute.
