Japan's Shintech submits plans to build VCM,caustic plant in Texas

London-Japan's Shintech Inc,a wholly owned subsidiary of Shin-Etsu Chemical,announced May 29,that it had submitted plans to build a Yen 100(832 million),825,000 mt/year vinyl chloride monomer and 550,000 mt/year caustic soda facility in Texas.The cost of the planned project"will be funded solely from the Shin-Etsu Group's internal resources with no borrowing from outside sources,"the company said.
