Petchem traders,shippers not keen on Europe-Asia Arctic route

Sydney-Recent media reports about a new international shipping route opening between northern Europe and northeast Asia because of ice melting in the Arctic Ocean,have not been greeted with much gusto by petrochemicals and shipping industry members.Several market sources interviewed by Platts did not appear to be optimistic about using this new and shorter route via the Arctic Ocean for petrochemicals shipments between Europe and Asia in the future.
