Methanex,Southern drop US May methanol CPs to 103 cts/gal FOB USG

Methanex has lowered its non-discounted methanol reference price by 4 cents/gal to 103 cents/gal (US343/mt) FOB US Gulf Coast,effective through May 31,the company said on its website April 26.By dropping its price by 4 cents/gal in May,Methanex's fixed May price equivalent of 103 cents/gal will be the same as Southern Chemical Corp's - who,earlier April 26,said it would drop prices by 2 cents/lb in May,equivalent to 103 cents/gal.
