On the contamination of Langmuir probe surfaces in a potassium plasma

The influence of the surface contamination of Langmuir probes on the determination of the parameters of a potassium plasma has been investigated experimentally with an indirectly heated probe. The surface effects that appear during the probe heating are discussed, and from these results data for a reliable operation mode of Langmuir probes will be deduced. [References: 21]
