For him, it comes down to knowing who you are-your core values-and what you're good at-your core competencies. For Murphey, the two are related in a short list of maxims that he recites off the cuff: "Embrace technology, training, and continuous improvement. Always remember who the customer is. Ensure positive cash flow. Without that the others are useless."
