China's domestic coal market may see further price falls following the end of the summer peak season of electricity consumption and higher than normal coal stockpiles at major power plants, industry sources told Platts.At Qinhuangdao, China's largest coal port, free carrier prices of quality Shanxi thermal coal with a calorific value of 5,800-6,000kcal/kg have dipped to around Yuan 950-970/mt ($139.1-142.0/mt), according to a port source. This compares to around Yuan 970-990/mt in early September and a high of over Yuan 1,000/mt in July.
