NWR receives approval to acquire Bogdanka

Central European hard coal and coke producer New World Resources received approval November 16 from the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection to acquire all the issued and outstanding shares of Poland抯 only listed coal miner Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka for $1.2 billion, it said in a November 17 statement. The producer announced October 5 an all-cash funded offer to acquire all Bogdanka抯 shares for Zloty 100.75/ share ($34.48/share) in cash.
