Spot PX rose $22/mt on the week but spot activity was slow. US producers were still not interested in making incremental pounds of PX. The theoretical break-even price of MX+$150 was $962/mt but without spot supply the market was assessed slightly above that level. In addition, with contract PX likely to settled above the August CP of 46.5 cents/lb ($1,025/mt) producers had even less incentive to settle for an MX+$150 spread on PX.
