摘要

September’s PTA contract was not settled as the upstream PX contract was still under negotiation. There was an expectation among some participants that the PX would settle about 3 cents/lb higher, similar to the increase in Asia. If so, this would add about 2 cents/lb to PTA costs and put the contract at roughly 46.45 cents/lb. There was also an outside chance that PX settles much higher than Asia due to the recent jump in MX spot prices.
