US PVC export prices climbed $10 this week driven by demand from Latin America markets and expectations of stronger buy interest from Asia and Africa in coming weeks. The 3-to-30 day assessment was at $900/mt FAS Houston. US producers continued pushing for a 3 cents price increase in January that was posted originally, and offers ideas to Latin American markets such as Peru, Chile and Mexico were heard pegged at $1,000-1,070/mt CFR, though no deals were confirmed.
