There were signs of a further softening in the NWEbutadiene price this week, with reports of lower offer levelsin the market and trade done well below the previous weeksassessment. Offers were seen falling to at least $4,700/mtFOB NWE (Eur3,258/mt) according to one producer, whilst atrader said that he had seen offers as low $4,500/mt. It wasclear that buyers were not willing to buy at these levelshowever with one consumer saying: “There seems to bemore spot available now and I’m getting offers, but they aretoo high for European buyers. A trader added that the“buying range this week was $4,100-4,300/mt.”
