Prices were flat for LLDPE and producers had little to offer thi week. There had been an offer at 65 cents/lb in railcars but it was too high for traders to consider. The US has not been competitive on LLDPE exports as there were lower priced cargoes available from most other regions of the world. The FOB Middle East and Asia offer price was talked at $1,400/mt. If the US were to match this price there would have to be offers at 63.5 cents/lb FAS Houston, which all but one trader said was not available.
