The US styrene price fell this week as October deals were confirmed done at 49 cents/lb, more than a penny below the last reported September price. Platts assesses styrene on a 3- to 30-day basis, which this week includes 18 days of the higher-priced September market, and 10 days of October. The price was assessed at 49.60 cents/lb FOB USG, down 0.55 cents from last week. The balance of September was assessed at 49.75 cents/lb, down 0.50 cents from last week.
