Deutsche Bank's oil and gas analysts have upped their endof-year oil price forecast for West Texas Intermediate to 20.50/bbl from 19.50.bbl. The change was based on the following developments in the global oil markets: "OPEC compliance looks to hold relatively steady in 2Q02; demand growth of 600,000 b/d is heavily loaded into the second half; inventories look comfortable; Iraq has provided upside support to the market due to reduced UN exports; capacity grwoth slowing from non-OPEC in 2003; and oil prices have held at a high 20 so far in Q102 better than we expected."
