Socio-Economic Implications of Climate Change for Tea Producing Countries

1. At its last session the Intergovernmental Group on Tea tasked its Working Group (WG) on Climat Change to review the methods of climate change impact assessment, evaluate the analyses carrie out on the impact of climate change on the tea sub-sectorin selected countries and identify/sugges mitigation and adaptation strategies required to develop appropriate long-term technologies fo mitigation/adaptation1. The findings of the WG will be presented to the Group at this, its 21st Sessior To complement this initiative, the Secretariat has produced document CCP: TE 14/4 which use information available to assess some of the socio-economic implications for tea producing countries.
