Dr Mansmann is Deputy Director of the biostatistic unit of the Institute of Medical Biometry and Informatics at the University of Heidelberg Medical School, Germany. He is head of the working group in quantitative methods in molecular medicine. His research interests are prognostic models for cancer patients and establishing methodological standards for reproducible research in molecular medicine. As a statistician, he is involved in research on the use of Bayesian methodology for complex stochastic systems.
