Recently integrated into a facility in Changxing, China, a membrane brine concentrator (MBC)TM using Oasys forward osmosis (FO) technology is performing reliably and has led to three more contracts for the United States-based company Oasys Water. An MBC system is installed at a new zero liquid discharge (ZLD) plant, part of the Huaneng Power Changxing Units 7 and 8 power plant, where the flexibility of the modular, multi-train design enables the plant to accommodate wide fluctuations in wastewater feed conditions.
