New development in low salt pickling technology

Novel non-swelling acid can be used in several different ways in leather manufacture. In particular, a more effective low salt pickling process can be achieved and the environmental impact within leather manufacturing can be further reduced. The benefits include:rn1.less salt (50% reduction),rn2.less chrome (15% reduction),rn3.better shaveability for wet white.rnIn addition to these benefits, the use of NSA as formic acid replacement in the retanning stage leads to an effective fixation.
