Design Patents Under China's New Patent Law

Design patents can be critical for protecting innovative industrial designs in the People's Republic of China. Protection of designs is, of course, crucial for protecting market share inside China. But designs registered in China can also provide the most cost-effective way of stopping and even preventing exports of infringing designs to other markets, worldwide.
