Supreme Court Rules on Enforceability of Jurisdiction-Designation Clause in Assignment Contract of Foreign Patents

The Korean Supreme Court has rendered a decision in Case No. 2009 Da 19093, validating a contractual clause that specifies the Korean court to have the jurisdiction in adjudicating any dispute which may arise out of an assignment of certain patents, even though some of the patents were filed and registered in foreign countries outside of Korea.
