German Court Lifts Injunction on 'Push' Email on Apple Devices

Apple iPhone and iPad users will once again be able to receive email notifications instantly on their devices more than a year after Motorola Mobility enforced an injunction disabling the "push" email feature over a patent dispute. Judges at the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court (Ober-landesgericht Karlsruhe) granted a motion to stay Motorola's injunction on Aug. 29, although Apple was required to post a bond of EU€100 million to get the injunction lifted, according to a court spokesperson.
