France Strengthens Legal Framework for the Fight Against Counterfeiting

The new law aims at significantly strengthening the French anti-counterfeiting legal framework, particularly in the wake of Law No. 2007-1544 of October 29, 2007, "on the fight against counterfeiting" (implementing Directive 2004/48/CE of April 29, 2004 on the enforcement of intellectual property rights) and also at harmonising the provisions applicable to the various kinds of intellectual property rights.
