German IT Association and Collection Agencies Agree on Copyright Levies

The association representing the German information and communication technology (ICT) industry, Bitkom, and German royalties collection societies have come to an agreement over the level of copyright levies on cer- tain digital/electronic devices and storage equipment that will be imposed retroactively from 2011 until the end of 2016.
